Red Hot Chili Peppers<\/b> are the big confirmation for the first day<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of NOS Alive’23<\/strong>, with a performance scheduled on the NOS Stage<\/strong>of the 15th edition of the festival. This is the band’s first time at Passeio Mar\u00edtimo de Alg\u00e9s.<\/p>\n In 2022, the band released two acclaimed albums Unlimited Love<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> e Return of the Dream Canteen<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span>, reaching number one on the Billboard sales chart and standing out as the first rock band in 17 years to achieve this feat. Both albums were produced by long-time collaborator and creative confidant, Rick Rubin.<\/p>\n The iconic band was recently nominated for the GRAMMY\u00ae for Best Rock Song<\/em> with “Black Summer” and received the prestigious Global Icon Award and Best Rock Video award with “Black Summer” at the MTV Video Music Awards. They also received nominations this year at the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Rock<\/em> and at the American Music Awards forFavorite Rock Artist<\/em>, Favorite Rock Album<\/em> for Unlimited Love<\/em>, and Favorite Rock Single<\/em> for “Black Summer”.<\/p>\n Return of the Dream Canteen<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span> is the band’s greatest asset for the first day of the festival. A long-awaited album that reached the most desirable places on the top sales charts, receiving laudable critical acclaim, such as Pitchfork’s “surprisingly introspective”; Rolling Stone’s “Dream Canteen finds the Chilis meditating on trademark rhythms (the first single ‘Tippa My Tongue<\/a><\/strong>‘ is classic Chilis), the falsities of life (‘Fake as Fu@k’) and peace and love (‘Peace and Love’),” or the NME “the Chilis continue to have as much fun as possible.”<\/p>\n
